<p>[QUOTE=&quot;miedbe7, post: 2142294, member: 33919&quot;]Kinda bad pics story:&nbsp; I took a chance on a lot of 30+ Ikes that were listed as being in bank rolls, kept in a safe, since the late 70s by a late grandparent or something.&nbsp; They definitely looked nice in the photos but were taken in lots at a distance.&nbsp; Anyways, I saw something right away with one of these Ikes&#039; reverses.&nbsp; I must have stared at the photos for 2 hours, using zoom, rotating my laptop and flipping it upside down to see different angles, etc.&nbsp; I even used different photo editing programs to change the contrast, the saturation, almost everything it could do, in hopes of seeing just a bit more.&nbsp; After all this I was about 50% sure that I was indeed seeing a 1972 type 2 in the lot.&nbsp; So I bought them for 3-4x FV IIRC.&nbsp; I was kind of worried when I was told some coins had banged around when opening the rolls to photograph.&nbsp; Kinda worried.</p><p><br /></p><p>Anyways, package arrives and I&#039;m nervously excited.&nbsp; I went through the lots, almost all were solid BU with nice even golden toning (only 2-3 were less than MS).&nbsp; Then I arrived at a solid run of about 10-12 1972 Ikes and they were NICE.&nbsp; And then it happened.&nbsp; A Type 2 in what I thought was MS-63 easy jumped out at me.&nbsp; YES!&nbsp; My hands were shaking.&nbsp; Then, holy heck, while still in a bit of shock, I found FOUR more Type 2s, all equally as good, with 2 of them being super CLEAN.&nbsp; Yea.&nbsp; Five Type 2s out of 30.&nbsp; I could barely get them in 2x2s bc my hands were a tad shaky <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie2" alt=";)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>Then they sat for a few months in their 2x2s and I finally got the urge to send them in for grading (my first and only TPG submission BTW).&nbsp; I sent them off to PCGS and checked my email everyday.&nbsp; Then finally the grades were posted online.&nbsp; I had to have someone else confirm that I was reading it correctly.&nbsp; Yep.&nbsp; I was.&nbsp; MS-65, MS-64, MS-64, MS-65, MS-64.&nbsp; OMG.&nbsp; Glad I got them Tru-viewed too as they were up on Coinfacts, mingling with the top dogs.&nbsp; I think 7 are at MS-66.&nbsp; I&#039;ll take mine happily tho.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>It was so much fun MAKING a grade.&nbsp; Finding a gem (or 2) and knowing you found that new material.&nbsp; It was indeed a thrill.&nbsp; I was originally going to post on here with my own thread, but why not now, here.&nbsp; I&#039;ve just been sitting on them for a few weeks trying to figure out my next move.&nbsp; I don&#039;t know if I&#039;ll send them in for secondary grading (CAC, QA) as I&#039;ve already got a decent amount tied up in submitting these and am kinda paranoid about sending these out into the mail again! (unless it&#039;s to a buyer LOL).
