I don't spend too much time at coin shops. I've been to maybe about half a dozen different ones in my life. Today I tried a new one about 45 minutes from my house. I walk into Gardner Coin Shop in Gardner, MA and see nothing but all sorts of trading cards and sports cards. There's one guy there who spends about 15 seconds just looking down at something while I'm looking around trying to find where the coins are. He finally says, "can I help you with something?". I said yeah I'd just like to browse through some of your coins. He points me to a display case in the back with some coins. Not a big selection but I spent about 10 minutes browsing and whenever I walk into a shop I always have to leave with something. I saw a 1931 dime that caught my eye and for $19 I figured I'd buy it. Well I waited around a couple more minutes to see if this guy would walk over or even ask if I needed some help. Nothing. He never left his spot by the front door. I decided to give up on the coin and walked out. As I was walking out I said "Thank you for your time" and his response was not even looking up to acknowledge me or even say anything. I'm glad I didn't spend any of my money with him. I've seen drug dealers on the street give better customer service than this store.
