I was at a gun show that had a few coin dealers also. I was enthused about U S silver coins but had never bought anything of much value, funds were tight. I was scanning the coins at one dealer&#039;s table, he looked like a character and he had a bunch of old green 2x2 coin trays filled with a totally disorganized array of coins. I saw this 5 Francs and it stood out as something different. The dealer gruffly quoted $43 dollars and kind of walked away. I tried to negotiate but he wouldn&#039;t budge. I didn&#039;t know what it was worth anyway. So I paid too much but I don&#039;t care, I&#039;ve had years of fun chasing older world crowns.
