What to do with a fingerprint coin

    It’s what you can live with, me personally
    if it’s that rare of a coin, not sure what
    the population is ? I will disagree with
    others here it’s not that bad, but here
    again it’s your choice, I have about 70
    graded gold coins and maybe 3-4 have
    significant distractions but there still my
    children…LOL and I love them all the same.

    Neat ACG slab Paddy.
    At a SP68 the fingerprint isn't so bad.
    I think I would still return it. The print will degrade over time.

    That Kruger is a mess !! I collect them and wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pull !
    how that got a 67 grade is beyond on me, bullion price for that one at best !

    Yes marked Matte Proof not SP as they are now.

    Generally I agree with you, especially on a modern coin like this, which is supposed to be close to perfect. Usually I avoid coins with fingerprints, but I did buy this 1797, Soho Mint, "Cartwheel" British penny. It has a couple of finger prints (The largest one is in front of King George's face), but for the price and what I wanted to pay it was okay.

    It does not show in the photo, but this coin has some original mint red in the protected areas. It would AU-55 using American standards and EF using British standards.
