A mother buys 1.5 gms of small gold nuggets (SS Cent) graded by PCGS for her son. Nice fb given on both sides, a no problem transaction right? WRONG !!!!! About a month later she contacts me and says her husband is mad as crap bc she bought that and wants to return it. I said sure send it back, she sent me a long message saying I saved her from a bad night. My only thoughts then and now are.....poor kid...
I had a nice one, years ago.... As most of u know, i live in Belgium, and i had this guy asking : 'ship to Switserland ?'. I replied 'No. No ships or boats from Belgium to Switserland'...
I love when people offer me $60 on a $300 best offer coin. Oh well. Guess I could adjust the autodecline.
This is the best one I can remember because it happened last week. I decided to sell some DVDs that I had laying around and listed a used DVD for $5 & Free S&H. This is the message I got, twice. "When is payment expected after purchase? How is the art work and what kind of case does it have? Is the case solid case or does it have holes in the front and back of the case?" So he wants me to answer three questions about a $5 item and then wants to know how long he can wait to make payment. I ignored his first message but when he sent the same message again, I ended the item and blocked him. I don't need the $3 that bad.
Yesterday I got this awesome message. I am selling a coin that had 4 days left and it was at $88 already. Here's what I get: "as you may know being a coin dealer cleaning a coin is the worst thing you can do except it be done by a numisist perfetional with all that being said i would be willing to give you $65.00 cash if you would be willing to take it that would leave me room to make something off the coin too.bill.m"
I was selling an NGC slabbed trade dollar... potential buyer sends a message saying 'did you open the holder to take pictures? and if so have you properly closed it afterwards? thanks for letting me know, I am really interested in that coin.' LMAO
I posted it in another thread, but I had a seller rattle off a list of excuses after they failed to ship an item 3 weeks after I purchased it. "I was at a wedding" "rainy weather" "Needed to extract money the day I was going to issue a refund" "Holiday" (for 3 weeks? Come on...) "Needed to transfer paypal money to bank" "Paypal fees due the day I was going to issue a refund" "Too busy, need to contact shipping coordinator" They failed to ship the item 3 weeks after I purchased it. When I asked them what was going on, they said "we'll ship it in 2 weeks". When I asked them for a refund, they said "we will give you the refund next week". Crazy...
with stories like these, It makes me very wary about selling my coins on eBay. I have about 15-20 I want to liquidate.
This is what I get from E-Bay buyers: "Your prices are a joke! No one in their right mind would pay for an NGC Jefferson nickel that looks like playdoh!!!" The comment was made about a 1944-D Appalachian Toned Jefferson Nickel NGC MS67 5FS with a wholesale price guide value of $220 that I have listed at a 7X price premium.
