This is what I learned from this thread.

Check your coin immediately upon arrival against the seller's pictures.
If it does not match, it does not matter if you like it more or less. Contact the seller.
If the seller was OK with the price received, and I am OK with the coin, then we can conclude a mutually honorable transaction.
If I keep a coin that wildly exceeds what I intended to buy, I should not profit from the seller's mistake. If he wants it back, either negotiate a new price to keep it, or return it.
If the coin is worse, then everyone agrees that the seller has to make it right.
Also, I learned a lot about planchet laminations, whizzing, and that people can assume a coin is harshly cleaned when it's another phenomenon entirely. In this case, two months have passed, and the seller did send the coin based on the purchase price I offered on eBay. I believe he posted the wrong photos. Even though the original coin is posted again, the photos have been taken over again. So the seller does not seem to be using stock photos but is photographing each coin he posts. Perhaps the seller believed the coin was cleaned or damaged, did not realize the photo was wrong, and felt what I offered was a fair price. I choose to think well of the dealer. I have bought from him before and may well do so again. From now on I'll follow the steps above. And at this point I will just enjoy the heck out of this coin. Regards, Ron
