See that's funny because it doesn't. Three years ago I gave the government $250 and in 27 years they will give me $500. I'm making so much money. *sarcasm*

What you have is a savings bond. There are many Municipal bonds that pay over 7%APR. Also if he were to buy a bond in his own county, he wouldn't have to pay tax on it.

    '23 Silver Cert
    or
    '29 $50 Brown Seal J/10
    or
Try a strap of modern $1's (return the commons, or try for a complete fed set)
You could also buy a 32 subject sheet of $1 from the BEP. They look awesome framed and on the wall.

I've noticed how quick you are to insult users across this forum. Is there a reason for that? Do you know these users well? There are 9 year olds and many people whose first language isn't even English. My sugggestion is to not post a comment if you have do not have anything constructive to say. Unless of course, they deserve it.

You mentioned you were thinking about becoming a dealer. I'm sure that attitude will get you far with customers.

I was always told: "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it."

Also, you should buy the book. Then you would realize grammar shouldn't be capitalized.

    Ricky,
Since I am a Jefferson nut, I would suggest buying a complete set of uncirculated war nickels. You can find some really choice sets for under $100. You will get the best of both worlds also. They contain 35% silver, and are very collectible.
I really like them in the capital plastic holder, like this:

1964 P+D Mint Sets would be under $100 for both.

A 2010 silver proof set and mint proof set is about $100.
