What an interesting collecting theme. Agree with other comments in that this would be a great long term project. I'd love to see your steel cent if you have an image handy. What fun!
I found these Indian Heads and think they are toned and give them a high grade of MS 63 am I close. Grading is new to me
Good looking out my man u just made my day I'd probably get couple of the 10 dollar ones for the picture
Right now, I religiously collect by theme: turtle ships. As mainly a type collector, I'll collect one of a series. As a series, I'll collect 1892-3 Columbian coins (PL or PR dies) and some exonumia. It seems like I'm all over the map, but there's a rhyme and rhythm to it.
I collect EAC, Gobrecht, and Longacre coins by variety. Believe it or not, I haven’t bought any seated silver in a while. I bought an 1863 IHC recently with a terminal die state (which will get its own thread). I’m actually thinking of collecting 1863 IHCs by die breaks - it’s one of the most interesting US coins variety-wise IMO. I’m foraying into English hammered coins as well: Quarter of a Mary I groat, fun $5 purchase. Spink 2492.
