What note have you always wanted?

That is one I have. Otherwise I have left it unreported in note censuses and will likely keep it that way. It is from a collection that was assembled in the 1930s.

I had thought the recent 50000 won note was the first note to have a woman on it, guess being in circulation for a mere 26 days doesn't count.

Here are my most wanteds, for quite awhile:

These were released into circulation in 1918, quickly counterfeited as this example is and then withdrawn so that only a couple of authentic notes are known. Most examples are counterfeit, and even they are very rare.

Of course the common thread with these two notes is that they were designed by Alphonse Mucha - a Czech painter.

The latter example is one I just can't find one that is in a high enough grade.

And here is one that was not issued because of a 1953 monetary confiscation, this note was printed in Prague, but couldn't be released due to Moscow insisting on printing Czech banknotes in 1953 -the latter were boring communist designs.

The last time I saw one of these at auction it passed my bidding limit at $900.

My current goal is to obtain the note represented by @scottishmoney's avatar, a 5 pound note issued by Allied Irish Banks. I'm taken by the young girl on the note, and, in honor of my wife who is partly a Scottish lass, want to add it to my collection.
