what mintmark do you see

yes i do, some see if and some don’t. Didn’t say the date for as I only asked about the mintmark. I’m not trying to pull wool over any ones eyes, a simple yes or no would have been sufficient but I guess this forum is about ridiculing the new member. Please allow me to reword my last post :
Can anyone see a almost wore down S mintmark ? an honest yes or no would be nice,,,

I don't see any mintmark.

 

Not seeing anything myself.

 

I see the CC mint mark.

 

I don't see a mint mark either.

 

At first, I saw no mm. Looking further I see an S that is consistent with S mm. (Size, Shape, Location) - Just my humble opinion, I am no expert, just a novice collector for 45 years.

 

Btw what does the front look like?

In post #11, I see the letter 'I' where the MM should be - did not realize that Indianapolis also had a Mint branch

I don't see anything that resembles a mm. possible some stray circulation marks but nothing else.

Why do you think that tiny area is worn, but the rim and corner of the Monticello are relatively strong? Disarmament of sense .

 

in the repost of the pic by Paddyman98 I can see something in the SE section of the marker spot. looking at the die deterioration on the dome, etc., makes me bet it's a die chip. likely a piece of the dome that 'floated' downwards. it doesn't touch the side like a piece of cud. what IS the date, anyway? last chance is a missing MM...best of luck.
