    TIF Always learning.

I was going down internet rabbit holes tonight, browsing museums in Houston to see if any had ancient coins.

While on the Houston Museum of Fine Arts I typed "coin" in the search box and there were not many results, and that wasn't even with the modifier "ancient".

Trying to identify and attribute coins is fun and I thought it would be a hoot if I could identify the first link ("Possibly Roman, Coin") when the museum staff failed to do so.

    Behold, and LOL!

I think we all know the identification of this coin now :D (same as the OP coin)

Based on the paucity of search results for this museum using the broad term "coin", and seeing the quality of those few coins... crossing this museum off the list for an upcoming trip

The second hit in that search ("Roman Provincial, Coin"):

Oh dear. Not even close. o_O (It's Byzantine)

The next time someone tells you that your coins look like they should be in a museum, you might have to wonder if they were insulting your collection :D
