Mine is a 1851 large cent. I also have several from 1853: a half cent, a large cent, a trime, a half dime, a dime, and a quarter. I didn't seek out 1853 coins, I just ended up with them. What's your oldest?

When do you consider the "ancient" period to have ended?

When the W&A forum was split, we briefly talked about cut-off dates, and agreed that they depend on the region we look at. :) For most of Europe, the late 6th/early 7th century makes sense, I think.

Guess that the OP is interested in the "mix". If you want US only, you can post in the "US Coins" forum - if you want non-US only, you can post in "World Coins". My oldest coin that has a CE/AD date is from 1763 ...

1798 large cent -- in poor condition. Have owned it going on 60 years.
