Mine would be the legendary '64 peace dollar. What is yours?

1909 VDB matte proof. I'll never buy one but it would complete my set.

Me its a 1794 flowing hair dollar or a 1796 or 97 small eagle bust half in xf or better I can't pick between them the dollar would be the one to complete my early dollars (no 1804 it was struck in 1834 or later anyway) and the half would be the one for my type set

In my defense pappy, the OP was "What is your holy grail?"

Panama-Pacific $50 gold octagonal. Held one at a show once. That's probably as close as I'll get to one. It was mine for a moment though........:)

I have several ancients that I consider a holy grail. Simply because several I have are very rare. Single digits known.

I don't have one at this point. I'd love to own a high grade PF Morgan. I'm sure this will change as I expand my collecting habits.

A REAL 64 Peace dollar, not one of those cheaply made counterfeits?

How about a coin with some unusual history & provenance? Would anyone want the silver dollar that George Washington allegedly skipped across the 1-mile wide Potomac river or perhaps one of the pieces of silver paid to Judas?

An unusual collection might include the original Wampum used to purchase Manhattan Island.
