Ben,the banknotes from Ireland have always been popular with British Commonwealth collectors. If & when Ireland returns to being a British Commonwealth member state, the market for Irish banknotes among British Commonwealth notaphilists will continue to strengthen.

Irish postal orders are becoming more & more difficult to find.I am in the process of buying an Irish 10 Pounds one that was issued in 2001 on the very last day at one of the sub-post offices before they were discontinued in favour of the ugly Irish postal money orders (which aren't collectible at all).It is costing me just over the equivilant of 30 Quid, including postage & commission.I will be pleased when it arrives in my letterbox.

    Aidan.
