Funny you mention that. I had a gavelsnipe set up the other day that didn't work for me because my eBay password had been changed. The winning bid was $260 I had bid $265.
I'm sure they've got their IT geeks working it furiously. Too much business to be lost when the interfaces aren't working properly.
I got a coupon in the wake of the eBay password hack earlier this year. Some folks got a coupon as a result of the disruption earlier this month, but I didn't. I was thinking about complaining to Customer Service about the current situation, on the assumption that recorded complainers are more likely to receive "consideration", but it's gotten nearly impossible to leave a complaint that isn't about a specific transaction.
First hew hours, I got nothing, not even the eBay landing page. Now, I have this: Able to get into eBay through a browser search, but cannot access my account specific pages
Good news . . . I was just able to place a bid on a coin which required me to log in, although the login took about 30 seconds to complete . . . slow, but successful. Since then I've been able to access my Watch list and Favorite Searches, but each takes more than 10 seconds to load.
Actually I didn't get a coupon last time, I only got an apology email. My friend got a coupon for $15 off, so I complained via chat, and a coupon magically appeared on my account. Pretty nice, huh? Looks like everything is working fine now...
i couldn't get on, then i finally made it to sign in page and then i lost connection again and didn't even make it to my home page !!
Exact same situation here! The eBay app said I needed to sign in late last night, but wouldn't let me (no connection error, or some such thing). As of right now, it still isn't working, however the main eBay website is working just fine. Haven't tried it on a PC yet.
I find Ebay on occasion takes extra time for me to surf pages recently. Those "improvements" they make might be slowing down the site. It seems Ebay loves to make their site more useless in different ways at different times. Wish they would leave well enough alone.
