I have been "responsible" or rather, I feel I have been, as I have hedged by accumulating bullion in various forms as part of a complete portfolio. And I look at each coin purchase with the eye of a licensed Financial Advisor (a lifetime ago) and weigh it as an investment, whether as part of the collection, or a flip. US Coins are of an age of technology that they are highly uniform and grade-able, allowing reasonably fair markets to take place relative to their price, condition, etc. What I mean by that, is that it is possible for anyone in the marketplace to look at any specific purchase, again, for the collection or a flip, and say "yes, that was a fantastic price you paid". I can comfortably now lay out 5 figures on a coin I feel can be graded and flipped in a reasonable amount of time. (In my case, not a very long time). And that feeling, the "risk", the "high" one gets from profiting; that is very addictionish. Good word. Addictionish™. This is all easily correlated to an addiction.

But then.
