I found this coin in a roll of wheats I purchased . There is some type of problem with the rim. Also the center of the reverse is sunk in a little.
You posted this twice.. I will answer twice It was Encased. A lot of Wheat Cents were encased for different reasons back then. Such as this good luck charm. It was pressed around the rim so hard it would change the appearance of the Cent when removed. Do a Google search Encased Cents!
Yeah I didn't mean to post twice. Not sure what I done. But yeah that makes sense. It does look as if it was incased now that I think about it. Thanks
