From the late 19th Century through the mid-20th Century, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia comprised French Indo-China. Except for the date your coin sounds like a silver franc minted for that French colony. The legends indicate that it is struck in .900 silver and weighs 27 grams, which would be consistent with a 19th Century 1 franc coin.

The date is impossible, even if the "6" is really a worn down "8".

A picture would help determine whether you have a mis-dated replica of a genuine coin, or a complete fantasy.

Unquestionably a fake. French Indochinese Piastres are often faked even with dates that could possibly have been struck legitimately, but a date altered to appear old seems to sell better. (See previous references to the 1906 silver dollar; I've seen a few of those too...)

If I had to guess, the molds for this piece were derived from a 1921.

Just a hint for the future, when you take a photo try and use the macro mode if your camera has one, it will make the photos a lot clearer. The symbol is normally like this:http://land.allears.net/blogs/photoblog/Macro-icon.jpg. Or look in your manual. Nice coin, though
