Hi all, I Have this coin/medal which I'm having difficulty identifying. There is no text visible anywhere on the coin only the images which seem to be Roman in style with four busts of kings/emperors at the centre and mythical figures on either side. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Front by Charitycoincollector posted Jul 23, 2019 at 7:53 AM Back by Charitycoincollector posted Jul 23, 2019 at 7:53 AM
I've never seen it before. Check Hedley Betts' www.medalsoftheworld.com Maybe you can find it there. Chris
It is the Waterloo commemorative medal engraved by Benedito Pistrucci, and struck by the Royal Mint in London. These came out to commemorate the defeat of Napoleon, and shows the busts of the generals. There are restrikes, so you will need to research it.
