Asking going price for toned coins and bullion is like asking if you like someone prefers Hot or Cold Weather.. It is the same with Toned Coins it is either they love them or hate them. Then in the eye of the beholder. Then if they like Toned coins if they like the way they are toned or their impression... Very tough to gauge market. My wife and I both like toned coins but they have to look good to one of us .. Usually her we have sold many toned coins either of us thought would every sell, only to be gone at the first show they were displayed. Our general rule for us to be in the market follows a few rules ??? does it appeal to us How would it grade .. Not a bullion expert but my thinking on toned bullion would only carry a small premium over spot plus bullion type premium. On the 1881-s MS64 Morgan that is a common date and would normally sell in non-toned grade at a market show in our area for $60-$95 then toned it would be on eye appeal .. I am unable or would even commit based on different photos cause toned coins are so hard to gauge based on a photo .. Light enters too many variables to allow me to give much premium. In person that could change but how could you put a price on my appeal requirements Wish I knew the answer to that one

I have seen Toned Coins go for a crazy numbers but I think figuring this is more gauging of the Market and Marketing Techniques ... if you are starting out with toned ones it will be very difficult to establish a price, cause there are no standards.
