How fun! Yes, of course you need one . So do I! If you find any, let me know
Edited to add: I have a couple of Christopher Columbus tokens from that 1892 Expo and assume that is the same expo referenced on this token. Maybe you can get more information from a catalog. My tokens have reference numbers citing a work by Eglit.
How cool - a token with an ancient design in it!
ahaha..as soon as saw "toilet preparations" i thought of you TIF...^^(because of your Cloc. coins of course)..a tribute token of a "tribute" penny of Tiberius i'd reckon..purdy kool tho...
Found this reference : 1892 Madame Ireland's "Herbal Toilet Preparations Exhibition" Souvenir, Montreal Canada, McColl 177 / Leroux 996, 28mm Diameter, White Metal
Thanks @Cucumbor for the reference. That should make it easier to track down a few.
back in the day "toiletries" were perfumes, makeup, shaving nicnacs, etc..it wasn't what we now think of when mentioning the word "toilet"..
"What is this medal trying to say?"
Well, I don't know about all that other stuff on it, but this part seems rather obvious:
Kripes Bob, you're more of a 'devil' than I am........
That's pretty cool!
I found these on Amazon....
