What is this animal?

    Cheap coin I picked up just because. I figured the reverse is the only way to ID it but I'm not getting very far. I feel like the animal is the key and I haven't found anything similar using deer, camel, horse or dog. 17mm and 5g

    Antioch ad Orontem with ram reverse. Similar to this example from Wildwinds:

    Antioch, Syria, AE19 Time of Nero. Magistrate Quadratus. Dated AD 54-68. 5.64 gr. ANTIOXEWN, turreted and draped bust of Tyche right / EPI KOYADRATOY, Ram running right, looking back, star in crescent above, date ET EP below.

    Wow, fantastic OP ram-addition (I love it!!)

    Oh, and although this coin may have a bit of suspect desert patina on it ...

    => the coin still rocks ... and the crowning "ram" is a total winner!!
