If you want to talk about big and relatively rare, there's the Austrian Mint's "Big Phil" at 31 Kilos (68+ pounds) 100,000 euro, with 10 made ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3721584.stm ). And, of course, the Canadian Mint's 100 Kilos (220 pounds) C$1,000,000 Maple Leaf with only about a half dozen made ( http://www.teletrade.com/coins/announce/100kilo.asp ). BTW - the big Canadian Maple Leaf would make over 914,000 of the tiny German 1/32 Ducat coins I posted in a defferent thread.
i said there was one for 1000 mohurs and the other one was for 100 mohurs and the same guy has both of them
not really there are various accounts some wriiten by jahangir and his court others written by the recipients. jahangir was a mogul emperor king of india before the british from the lineage of akbar the great known for his excesses including coins. but all of it is nonsense from my perspective. what matters is that coin will end up in the spock collection and i will let you see it ruben if you so desire although i must say i dont know about touching it. once the coin is safely in my possession my place in the anals of history will be permanently sealed.
yes, but if there was a circulation strike 1895 out there, it would qualify as one of the rarest coins, seeing as how no one had ever come across one.
Stainless is correct it is a impossible question to answer there are some very rare/expensive coins some which have incredible low mintages. BUT the ones listed are only of U.S. mintage no one has even ventured into foreign coins. So the question while a good one cannot be answered and pin pointed down to one coin.
Goodwins rule? Come on Geraldine. Your interview with the real spock in the above thread was really funny. Ruben
I have 3 Spock coins in my safe and they are so rare, I am holding them for ransom untill the Spockster sells me his $10 Indian.....but they are worth much more than that, he is getting a bargain at any price
tsk tsk ur getting the 4th one soon that is rarer than the 3 and ull get no 5 which is rarer than the 4 and then 6 which are rarer than the 5 but ill stop there so it will be 6 in total. what $10 indian? indian coins are all in rupees AJ
