What is the rarest Wheatback penny?

    Even by loosely interpretting the ANA standards, that coin is a G4. Take into account the corrosion and it is AG.

    1919 wheat penny

    Sorry I can't post a photo, but I have a 1919 penny that is in excellent condition except for some "peel" coming off the back of Lincoln's head. Any idea of value w/o photo??

    [​IMG] coagedwar to the forum. It sounds like you're describing a lamination error on your coin. It should add a little value to your cent.
