<p>
It's hard for me to say for sure what it might be but one possibility you might want to look at (and hopefully rule out) would be bronze disease. Does the green stuff feel powdery and flake off with a toothbrush or fingernail? If so it might have bronze disease and you will need to treat it and keep it away from your other bronzes. It could also just be natural patina made to look more prominent in certain lights. Hopeful some people more knowledgeable in recognizing which is which will chime in. </p><p><br /></p><p>@TIF posted some great resources a while back on bronze disease recognition and treatment that I will repost here for your reference. </p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.crescentcitycoinclub.org/seminars_and_programs/Bronze%20Disease.pdf" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.crescentcitycoinclub.org/seminars_and_programs/Bronze%20Disease.pdf" rel="nofollow">http://www.crescentcitycoinclub.org/seminars_and_programs/Bronze Disease.pdf</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.accla.org/actaaccla/bronzediseasetherapy.html" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.accla.org/actaaccla/bronzediseasetherapy.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.accla.org/actaaccla/bronzediseasetherapy.html</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.bitsofhistory.com/info/bronze_disease.html" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.bitsofhistory.com/info/bronze_disease.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.bitsofhistory.com/info/bronze_disease.html</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.collector-antiquities.com/collectors-resources/collector-essentials/cleaning-restoring-and-conservation/bronze-disease.html" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.collector-antiquities.com/collectors-resources/collector-essentials/cleaning-restoring-and-conservation/bronze-disease.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.collector-antiquities.co...estoring-and-conservation/bronze-disease.html</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=Bronze%20Disease" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=Bronze%20Disease" rel="nofollow">http://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=Bronze Disease</a></p><p><br /></p><p>Also, great coin and it's nice to see you posting on this side of the forum @MontCollector!
