Don't worry Ben, some of us really do want a frank discussion. As for a nice guy with a big ego, I feel your pain buddy. I have trouble getting through some doorways.;) More importantly, I think you should be yourself. I like your brash, unapologetic, what you see is what you get style. As we get to know you better, we will just accept it as Ben being Ben.

As for the Kennedy Half, I don't much care what happens to it but I won't predict either.

Well if you don't care then it makes it kind of hard to predict, right?

Well, I could put aside my indifference for a moment to think about the issue and make a prediction, but I won't.

Its funny that you said that. The coin I really have developed a dislike for is the Lincoln Cent. I'm at a point where they can just melt them all and I'll pop open a bottle of Bordeaux and celebrate.

    Ruben,

Can you keep a :secret: I hate the Lincoln Memorial Cent. I take the electroplated zinc ones and cut them in half with a pair of scissors and litter them all over the city. It is really quite humorous. People won't bend down to pick up a whole penny, but they will bend down to pick up half a penny. Just a little evil but it amuses me.:goofer:

    Kennedy Halves in Vegas

The 50 cent piece does get some use out here in Vegas. If you bet $5 at the Blackjack table and actually get Blackjack the casino now owes you $7.50. Generally what the casinos will do is pay you $7 in chips and give you the last 50 cents as a 50 cent piece. I've noticed some casinos are paying the last 50 cents with 2 quarters or with a 50 cent chip. I don't know if this is because the halves are getting harder to get or if they have other reasons. I can't tell you if this behavior is spreading through the casinos.

Other than that, I can tell you that you will rarely find halves anywhere else unless you ask for them at the Bank.
