Again, welcome to CT!! There is no one answer to this question. There are hundreds, if not thousands of sources, ALL of which will have some great deals & bad deals. Your mission is to learn enough to know which coins are acceptable to you (given whatever your collecting parameters are) & what price you are willing to pay. Are you a serious or casual collector?, a reseller?, a stacker?, or......? Once you evolve into your level of collecting, it will become easier (again, with accumulating knowledge) to advance your objectives. Some people collect for the challenge of putting together sets, some to acquire the best specimen they can afford. Some collect to eventually resell, and some have never sold a coin (Me!). Some collect only ancients, some both, some only moderns, some only US....etc. Knowledge is power!!!, but it is not gained overnight! Learn how to grade for yourself. I suggest you either throw away your copy of "Strike It Rich With Pocket Change" or exit this site - it will only bring trouble. If you're only looking for the Home Run, pitchers & catchers report soon, the season is almost here! There are many excellent book sources - check those other threads on CT to learn about them. :smug::smug::smug: Any combination of coin shops, coin shows, flea markets, estate sales, on-line auctions, coin roll hunting, auction houses, pawn shops, etc., etc. are all sources where there are both good deals & bad deals!!! There is no one source! :D:D:D Most of all, either have fun or find something else!:smuggrin::smuggrin:
