It's an interesting coin and I think it deserves it's own thread.

Go to tbe Error Coins forum section of CoinTalk and look for Create Thread
Just do what you did just now but with your own title. Keep it simple. By the way that is not a CUD. Looks like a Die Chip.

Red Book has a value listed, other sites have a value listed, eBay, coin shops, etc...

What's the actual guide to go with on slabbed coins?

Any ideas on value for this?

THERE IS ONE SIMPLE ANSWER TO HOW MUCH A COIN IS WORTH....

It is simply on how much a person wants to pay for it....
If the books say it has a $30.00 price tag and the buyer only
wants to want to pay $22.00 and the seller sells it for the $22.00,
    then it is worth $22.00...

First rule of coin collecting is never clean a coin. You will see that in all coin references..... Secondly if it is copper and has lost the lustre and is VF or so, use a cuetip with olive oil and rub it around the coin....Do not pick the dirt off with a metal item such as a pin as it will scratch...I recommend a toothpick and wood does not scratch the metal....Just remember any person that says they do not clean up coins a bit, they are telling untruths.... The easiest way to tell if a coin has been cleaned is that the olive oil will be in the small crivices like the feathers and inside the lettering ( A B D E F G S and so on ) so you have to spend a lot of time getting all the grime out.....Here is a scan of the information i have in a book IMG_0001.jpg

Although I didn't open every photo, those I did suggest you'd be better off starting a new thread and posting it to the world forum. This way you'll get as many eyes as possible on them.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Yes, If a coin is deemed (cleaned) and on slab says (unc details, cleaned) no grade on it...so does this coin overtime ever become uncleaned
