Yep, it's looking more and more like it was a fishing expedition.

After about the third page I got the feeling the OP was a troll. As confirmed by the fact that it is now 3 years later and there is no update I guess my suspicion was right. Another sad little hermit in their mom's basement making up stories in order to have interaction with strangers on the internet.

And, you felt the urge to revive the thread to post your thoughts of him being a troll? Also, first post is April 2012..so, 10 months?

Being let down after reading 7 pages I felt the urge to post my thoughts about the thread. I thought the first post was in 2010. It was hard to remember after reading 7 pages lol.

Let them certified while you are watching. And do not close your eyes because they are smart for switching. This is what you do. IF YOU DO NOT TRUST THEM.. or sell it RAW!
Just remember always a gamble to ship a coin in a mail. If you mail your valuable coin do it smartly take a Video from start to finish then insured it.
BTW, In my own opinion looking on your poor photograph that coin is NOT a PROOF!
Sorry to say this maybe I have a BAD EYES looking for very dark PHOTOGRAPH!

Well 6 years later ... maybe he used his coin and I received it !! Ha!

I am not a coin collector- however my grandmother was so I often look through change for unique pieces and keep them . Once a year I’ll go through and look up info on them, and I found a 1968 “ no s proof” dime.
HOWEVER- from what I’ve read i have a betterchance of going to the moon than this being a real one .

Definitely post some pictures, but unless you found it in a proof set there is virtually no chance it is a proof no S.

If it's a proof coin, then there is a chance.

...post #102. I read this entire post because I was curious who resurrected a 7 and a half year old thread, I should have suspected a new member ‘cuz I did the same when I first joined.

But the result was I learned more about impaired proofs, no loss at all.

Sad that the OP took a powder on us, I was really hoping for better pictures to get to a resolution ( of sorts )...Spark

Dang, I was about on page 3 when I realized there were a lot of posters unfamiliar to me. Then I looked at the date and realized why

Necro thread aside, I was replying to the member who posted yesterday.
The thread topic is still relevant, and just waiting for a photo.
