I don't think so. It's like Heaven between May and Nov. Sure, there is snow in the winter, but winter is supposed to have snow! And snow is really pretty. Here is my house last year, and if you don't think it's pretty, I guess we have different definitions of "pretty".

We're getting way off topic now...

Did you read the post? They want info on certain members. They are legally trying to compel CT to spill the beans AKA subpoena information. I think this is called "discovery" but I don't know jack about the law. I do know you need to read better...No offense.

I read that part. Peter said that ct doesn't collect information on members. He also said that they came knocking on his door at 7:30 AM but he did not say exactly he was told by the guy knocking on his door. Larry may want a few people on his side in of which he can't get to unless getting CoinTalk involved or he may be after something else.

As for your comment about saying I need to read better. I do take offense to that. You act as if I'm an idiot who can't read. I'm a complete left brainer I'm good with math and science not so much with writing. I can't write you a complete numismatic novel. I'm just not able to do it.

Let me guess, I'm one of them because I commented on one of those threads. Let me inform you that I prefer you do not let them know any information about me. I don't like the idea of people knocking on my door at any hour with cops just because I make a comment on line, which is my right to do.

Legal servers are not usually familiar with the contents of the documents, they just stick it in your hand and they are done. Cointalk records the ip you register under and any fields you fill in. However, many members give details about themselves, their residence, jobs , age, and try to give their email. If they give a personal website like Josh, online tools can give a lot more information than what CT has using whois and other public network tools. SO no one can point at Peter or CT if they have been careless with their identity.

Personally I think its heaven here from October to May. There's less bugs less tourists (wish I could shoot em) and I love the cold and snow. I'm not a fan of cities crowds or lots of people. I'd like to move much further out in the country with nobody around. @geekpryde I knew you were coming and I don't mind people stopping by during normal hours. Before I've had my coffee in the morning I make an ogre with a toothache seem friendly.

You're going to try and buy a freaking mansion? I wish you luck, seems you are more ambitious than I thought. I hope you have women and children to fill that place up, else it will seem really lonely with all those rooms. not my style of home, I guess I'm just a simple Mainer. But I do wish you the best.

So they want information on members and bring some of them into the trial? I'm glad there is no information on me on the who is thingy. At least there shouldn't be.

Well you registered a domain, your website. So unless you used someone else's info, there is info available about you. and like most young people including myself, private firms (hired guns) can piece most things about you together from Facebook, Google, twitter, Cointalk, etc. Most people under 30 years of age naturaly over-share, and we're completely exposed. it's because most all of us are narcissistic, it's a generation thing. don't think you're well hidden, that would make you a naive narcissist.

Even if your domain registration is private, all a lawyer needs to do is send the domain registration service a subpoena and they will get your information.

I do not have a facebook I dont use google + or twitter. CoinTalk is the only form of social networking that I use. I have not done anything illegal and I don't think anyone else has either.
