MS-63 RD, minor die chip. Quite a nice coin!

I'd call it a good looking 1963 penny. These are the type I throw into the "old pennies that look really good for their age" jar.

 

Is there a jar for old fogies that don't look so great anymore?

 

Yeah, those are the coins I meticulously "deposit" in the giant sandbox at the park every so often for the old guy metal detecting at 0500 hours to get excited about.

 

There is a DDO that has an L separated, I had thought it was a DDO. The example happened a proof though.

After further inspection it is a small retained lamination from the rim.
