    Some nice examples shared from many. Always been a bit gun-shy of "circams"...if so many that are out there...but the only two I ever thought nice enough to submit for grading years ago came back "cleaned"...so there must be something with a certain type of cleaning that ends up with a circam appearance. Still, like their general appearance, esp the sepia-tones...and have several in raw, AU-MS. Don't clean so don't know what leaves a "circam" look.

    This one came yesterday, 1927 GB Straits Settlements 20 cents, got a little bit of circ cam appearance to it. AR .600, so does not tone as nicely dark as the older coins do. 1927 GB-SS 20 c.jpg

    t might be an interesting topic in of itself. Why did Barbers wear so well, but Ikes, and Washington Quarters, not so well.
