Just won this with an impulse bid I had semi-forgotten about.

It is a ca. 1555-1559 Papal States testone of Pope Paul IV.

I think it's around ~30mm, so roughly US half dollar size in terms of diameter.

That's Saint Peter on the reverse, holding what must be the key to Heaven.

Worthy of your username. You've got "the eye" for this stuff. :)

I was veering too far into MS land for awhile there... good to be picking up some nice crusty early Circs again!

That's a beauty, first one I can recall seeing, even in a picture.

I might have invented the "CircCam" term, but he obviously has an even better eye for it than I do. You need only look at some of the previous posts here to see that. So he's worthy of his username.

Also got this 1926 Aussie sixpence as a fun freebie bonus. :)

Thanks for the kind words, Rob! I’m not sure I’d go that far but glad to be doing the name justice.

That H10C sure looks nice with the black background and drop shadow.

    Here’s a photo of the Sixpence: 5C66F0D2-2F35-4636-87E1-292FF05B4198.jpeg

The reverse color on this one ended up being quite a bit more vibrant than I expected from the photos!
