The contrast is more apparent in hand.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

@lordmarcovan , if you liked those, I've got more ;)

I really like them best when they have a circ cam, but they also have a splash of color to liven them up a bit. See what you think of this gorgeous gal. She's one of the highlights of my collection:

    Low grade, but a CircCam

Low grade don't matter! That's definitely a CircCam!

Do circams draw a premium? I'm new to all of this and some same type coins in similar unslabbed grades the circam costs more.

Is there a decent collector base for these tones?

If it adds eye appeal, it typically draws a premium.

And I think most collectors place a higher value on good-looking originality in any circulated coin.

I really like the look, too. My personal favorite:

    Lovely coins, all!

This is for sure. I view this look as the definition of "original". It takes a long time to develop the dark silver sulfides and oxides to get that look.

Just took a look through the thread... Loved the look of the coins. I have to agree that sometimes they just look better wearing their history. Here's the first (of two) morgan's that I own. The other is just to bright and shiny for this thread.

Thanks Lord M., and you can double that because it's a dollar! (My half, alas, had an old cleaning and won't qualify for this thread)

Not a deep cameo, but still some contrast...
