I ponder that very question when I look at my holed 1858-O Seated Liberty half! I wonder was it given to a girl before I set off to war. Passed down generations to the day it made it into my hands! Or my 1917 Lincoln wheat AU/MS except for tin snip marks! What angry wife might have done such a thing during that bitter divorce! Or the conterfeiter that filed the first 4 of my 1944-D Wheaty! How many collectors were "got" by this one, before finally being found in a roll by me an put up for safe keeping so it could never swindle another!
