    You know why this is, of course. Money for research now almost exclusively comes with an ideological bias tied to it, from BOTH sides. You either deliver what the donor wants or you get defunded. It’s the new normal. Basic non-ideologically-directed research is now a rarity. Nothing is trustworthy anymore. Beliefs now lead research, rather than vice versa, as once was true.
