Its not environment damage Mr common cents. Its not scratchand there is no clad on the sides. I looked at it with a high power microscope.
First off - get better lighting on your coins and crop the pictures so they are all coin and very little background. Secondly, if it’s not environmental damage, what do you think it is? And “I don’t know” is not a valid answer since you shot down the valid answer.
Worn die strike combined with wear and some environmental/chemical damage. Who really knows. I do know it didn’t come from the mint like that. Do you fully understand the minting process?
