What has been done to this Morgan!!

    Actually, you cannot! Toothpaste and a toothbrush gets much closer to this appearance. However, that was not used on this coin either.

    There is a difference between polishing & whizzing. However, there is a characteristic look to this coin that is 100% cloth wheel. I've done it many times as a youth in my father's watch shop. :cool:

    Actually, if you rub on a coin for several months while wearing out a hundred jeweler's cloths, you just might begin to move metal around on the surface of a coin as this. The cloth buffing wheel with some jeweler's rouge is much faster. :happy:
