Looks like a decent coin to me, I have allot A/U 58,s and most are a little brighter then this so still an A/U graded coin would say 55 and for sure it’s been worked on.
I'm also glad to see opinions on possible grades. The experts here are very wary about opinions on that. And that is a shame. Some of us want to learn, no matter how brutal the comments might be.
Barney the coin has lifeless luster, it is dull and shows zero cartwheel. A coin with those details should be blazing in Mint state. This leads everyone to say that the coin has been stripped of toning and the luster.
Well I've got a Peace Dollar that will burn your eyeballs. In fact, it's almost too shiny. I'll post it later today. Under magnification I don't see evidence of cleaning.
I cant see to get the correct lighting. Really shines to the naked eye, photo, not so much. Looking at this under magnification (higher than this, I suspect the obverse has been cleaned) Probably should take it out of the flip, but not going to. the plastic protection is probably not helping. lol
