What grade do you think this would be? How is grading different overseas??

    1962 silver peso in what I would think to be maybe ms66?? Just a newbie guess.... please enlighten me as to what this coin would be graded and how the grading system is different overseas. Thank you in advance

    And this is a beauty 1966 5 franc. It’s gotta be uncirculated right??newbie here

    Not even close on either of them, sorry.
    That big scratch down the obverse of the Mexican peso kills it.

    The Swiss 5 franc has lots of hairlines in the fields on the obverse. I think it has been cleaned.

    Hate to dissapoint but the mexico peso is mid-AU at best, however the scratch would make it AU details. The 5 franc might not be cleaned, but it seems it circulated a bit resulting in loss of luster and scrapes in the fields. I would give it an AU58.

    I wouldn't pay more than melt for either coin.

    Agree. Also the peso is 10% silver.

    Yeah they are pretty much nothing lol. All the years had high mintages and you can get really nice ones for basically melt.

    I wasn’t insinuating they were worth much money, just trying to figure out a scope of the way grading works, exactly what u guys have told me.. thank you for your expertise.
