LoL, Aidan, you crack me up. While I haven't gotten "the boot" from anywhere (that I know of), I think it would surprise many of y'all to realize how few of the other boards would even let a thread like this go. Heck, some of them don't even want you mentioning that there are other coin forums. How many of those places that Aidan mentioned, do you think would give you "the boot" or delete your post if you mention the existance of Coin Talk?

Well, I have mentioned cointalk on coinpeople...they dont seem to be very anal about it...the thing is...a lot of readers here read there as well. They are the only 2 general numismatic forums I read. I read this forum first and then found that one and I now read both daily... I dont think you lose people from here by mentioning other forums...you just allow the person another forum for info...there are things that I post in the other forum that I have posted here that people didnt seem to care about but they liked there...I dont see the need to be so territorial, its all one big community IMO...I only see it as bad if they are bashing this forum and trying to get readers to go to the other and quit this one...then thats bad IMO.

and aiden...you being banned from so many forums and wiki and other places...did that even make you a bit introspective? did it ever make you wonder if there was a valid reason why people boot you or want to approve your posts before they go up? Or are you convinced they are just out to get you :)

I have to admit when you were spamming this forum with a different thread for every british commonwealth, I thought you would be gone...so kudos to this forum for its tolerance.

Anton is a friend. Even though there are differences in character between here and CP, I think that both Anton and I share a lot in the way we operate. It's good to have people like him in the industry.

Well, that's just Aidan being Aidan. ;)

Yea, I get a lot of complaints about that too. :D

Peter,I have put a link back to here on other forums, including on my own one. That is a bit of free promotion. Some Owner-Administrators don't like their members putting links to other forums, because, according to them, that is promoting competition.

I almost got booted from this forum but it was only a misunderstanding. I have been booted from a electrical engineering forum twice. I am back on with a different user name and have been contributing quite nicely and receiving good information. My advice is to never log on and respond once the six beer limit is exceeded, my own stipulation but it has kept me in good standing.

Should be an easy one for me. If I had six beers inside, my posts would most likelmxq8 xqih9lkd wdqdo, mfwe dqpoiqoinqwd ;)

Hmm, this is interesting and might shed some light on Aidan's little problem...

    From Coin Community
    ///////////////////////////////////////////////
I saw the thread posted by Aidan over on Cointalk. He's pretty funny.

Just so you know what happened here with him, he was using our forum email to
send out invitations to his BC forum. He sent out HUNDREDS before I caught him.
(and he was still going strong) He was actually pretending to be staff here and
telling them that his forum was a joint venture with ours.

He's lucky I didn't prosecute him criminally. I actually thought about it,
because I ended up in one spam database because of his emails through my forum
being reported. I had to beg for two weeks to get removed.

It's funny how he pretends over there like he doesn't understand why he was
booted, but he knows exactly why.

FYI, he could've been criminally charged with what he did on Wikipedia also. It
was far worse than what he did here.
    ???????????????????????????????????????

    LOL, Shame on you Aidan...

    Ben:
I looked for the comments on the other forum, but couldn't find them.
    Can you provide a link?
    Thanks

I cannot believe that Bobby & Susan would stoop so low as to claim that I said that my forum was a joint venture with theirs. In no way did I ever claim that my forum was ever a joint venture with theirs, nor did I claim that I was a staff member of Coin Community. The only thing that I ever stated was the fact that I am the Owner-Administrator of the British Commonwealth Numismatic Forum (which I am!).

As for having me criminally prosecuted, that's not correct,as U.S. laws aren't in force in other countries.I don't even think there is any extradition treaty between New Zealand & the U.S.A. like there is between Australia & New Zealand,& the U.K. & New Zealand.

a link.. why? past indesgrsions (ok i suck at spelling) but his past bad actions are in the past.. as long as he follows the rules here.. who cares what happened over there.

Aidan, i am VERY surprised the mods/admins here also let you and others post links and such to other forums.. it IS advertising the competition ... Want to share info from over... great, but post the content, not the link :) (m opinion of course hehe)

Daggarjon, have you not heard the expression 'an exchange of ideas'? The only links that I post are in relation to the subject that is being discussed.

I'm not the only one here who has a link to their own forum in their signature line.Had that been possible on Coin Community,I would have done so.

Those invitation emails I had sent out was to Coin Community members from various British Commonwealth member states, especially Australia,Canada,& the U.K.,as I had only just set up the forum,& things were very quiet.Things eventually began to pick up for a while, but it has been extremely quiet over there so far this year.I almost felt like closing the whole forum down.I emailed the membership to let them know that this was a possibility, but some members begged me not to close it down.

I saw what he did over there...anyone who has read a Wold politics forum post from aiden knows what he did over there and what his 2 major obsessions are and can imagine what he did. :)

why so worried? I would think the moderators will take action if its a problem right? also...are you not a member of any other coin forums? Does reading another coin forum mean you no longer will read this one? I know it doesnt mean that for me or most here...there is enough Dru to go around you lucky dogs...

Aidan, I like you. You are one funny man. No offense, but you can bring humor in the most innocent of ways. Even though we don't see eye to eye on alot of things (and I mean alot lol) you still can be a likeable guy. I can see in a way why you got booted from some places (one of the major rules is don't self advertise for another site) but don't let it trouble you in any way. Yopu must have done a lot over at CC, because they are very freindly there and understanding, along with CP. I think over all though, I like here the best. Cointalk rocks, lol. Hope you don't add this site to your booted list, lol. Okay, I'm done.

Phoenix,I've got no intention of being given the boot from here. This was actually one of the first 2 forums I joined. The other one was Coin People when Stu Joe (Stujoe) had it.
