This is a casino memorabilia coin from Las Vegas. I don't know what the CT means. I don't know if it's even silver. Any help appreciated. It feels heavy. 0D09BCE3-EEB5-4C85-8809-78FE29A7C589.jpeg 6B5DB84A-A104-4FA9-BCA1-557596CD87ED.jpeg

Hi Dnna..... When you see “CT” mentioned, it is just short for Coin Talk.

I think she meant the CT on the reverse side of the "silver" round.

The CT is the "mint mark" for this token for Sams Town Casino. It was made by Casino Tokens, Inc.

If you do a web search for Sam's Town Casino tokens there are several collector sites with more info.

The edge is all "silver" looking without any other colored line. I'll post a pic. F2F13CF6-067F-4CFE-8A82-F3A7FC6402AD.jpeg 68771EF0-C60F-40B9-B142-08B8DD040C22.jpeg

I think it’s plated. Not silver. eBay has a few for $8-9

also see the edge where there’s a copper or goldish metal showing though A silver coin would not have that

I’m assuming that Is a commemorative coin for Sam Boyd death? 1999 is the 20th year anniversary that’s what I seen on eBay

Yeah I do kind of see that. Its kind of subtle (my eyes are not the sharpest) I think I thought it was tarnish. Plus I discovered some similar casino tokens on a site another member suggested I check out that had .999 silver stamped right on there and this one doesn't. And no denomination. Although I'm not sure if Casino coins always have one. Dang, I'm from Vegas and I should know this stuff. I never liked gambling though. But my Dad sure Did. Every Sunday he would drop me and my siblings off at Church and head to Jerrys Nugget. If he was late picking us up we new he was winning. If he was early we new he lost. Never thought it was weird we were the only kids in church every Sunday without parents until I was and adult. I know, irrelevant. Sorry. Lol.

Yep. I looked again on the site I found after reading @Lawtoad reply and it gave all the specs for this exact coin. And it said .999 none. Okay paper weight it's is. But it is kind of pretty. And as my husband would say "at least it's something shiny for me to look at" ugh. I'm glad there is football today. I'm going to go spend lots of his money. Hah!

It's a very nice token. Somebody decided to save it after a trip to that casino.
