What do you think the story is on this nickel?

I didn't know nickels had a clad layer, much less a missing clad layer.

I don't think that picture is showing a missing clad layer at all. There is not even a description. Is that your Nickel?
Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong but a Nickel has no clad layer..it is all made of Nickel

The seller posted this on his page - quote "I just got an email from someone who said this can not be a missing clad layer error. Nickel's do not have clad layers, they are solid. So I am not sure but it could be a lamination error?" closed quote... not a Lamination Error

For grossly overcharging for postage. Ebay has suspended sellers for this. To refresh your memory, $3.30 to mail one nickel. Of course, the bidders knew that up front, but that doesn't change the facts.
