If someones image shows as an Red X, you can hit the reply button on their post and the image will show. You then just delete the reply. What do you see in the image that Chris posted?
Looks like you had a scratch off lottery ticket, but instead of scratching the ticket with the coin, you scratched the coin with the ticket.

The image is not good enough for me to form an opinion - needs to be taken in several different orientations of light as I cannot tell if characteristic is raised on the surface or not. The only way to determine what it is is to eliminate what it isn't. So, until there's proof positive provided in this thread that the feature depicted cannot possibly be a clashing artifact or some other striking/hubbing manifestation, it's just plain silly to offer an opinion.
