Was it any better than the 2016 redbook? Just wondering if they made it more interesting or if i should wait until 2019 before I upgrade
Bowers book on The Expert's Guide to Collecting & Investing in Rare Coins is very informative, although he sometimes sounds a bit arrogant.
I would urge everyone to read Coin Week on a regular basis - https://coinweek.com/ They have a great many articles written by knowledgeable authors that cover a very wide range of topics. Some of which I've even helped write myself.
Whilst visiting the Old Fort in Corfu Town, I purchased 3 small Visitor's Guides - all published in Athens. 1) The history of the Numismatic Museum of Athens. 2) Coins and art. 3) The coinage of Alexander the Great. - There were a few other similar booklets - maybe next time ! Prices, 3 & 3 & 2 Euros.
The wait is over. The 2019 Red Book is shipping. WAAAAAAAY more varieties are covered, which probably means a thicker book.
Okay, but why buy a copy every year? I don't see it changing all that much. And I've found my local library tends to stock the latest version.
Well, considering I was posting in Coin Chat, I figured I was talking about coin books. But I have looked at other forums, and surprised at what you all talk about. I mean, c'mon, a hot dog isn't a sandwich. It's a condiment-covered piece of meat!
