So I am checking auctions for yesterday, Saturday, and I see one I have been to a few times before and gotten Morgans and other coins. They have a stash from I assume a retired banker. Quite a nice hoard of wheat pennies, war nickels, Morgans, some Peace dollars, lots of mint sets, etc. They don't post pics of everything online but my eyes zero in on a certain date. So off my wife and I go. I check out all the silver dollars, see there are 10 beautiful uncirculated of this one Morgan I picked up on. So my plan? Get them all. When it comes time for that date, they auction one coin. I just kept my number up until the other person bidding gave up. Then they ask...do you want them all? Well, **** YES!!!!! So he brings over 10 shiny UNC 1892-O Morgan dollars. I think on Monday they are all headed to NGC for grading and I'll keep the best one for my collection. Of course I did my research a head of time so I knew the value of these jewels. Now don't criticize my pics cause I just hastily took them this morning in the dining room under natural light. For some reason the obverse tends to come out darker than the reverse but I thought you might like to see them.

I also picked up a couple 1928-S XF to AU Peace dollars, some mint sets real cheap and 8 rolls of Kennedy halves, 3 that are completely UNC and the others are a mix of UNC, AU and slightly circulated. Now you might be asking.....what did these Morgans cost me? Well, I was prepared to pay a good chunk for them but with the 10% premium I ended up paying $632.50 for all 10. Good deal?? I thought so. I just couldn't believe nobody did their research on these coins and what their value might be. So unless I'm blind, I think I did pretty good with these. So let me know what you think. I can take it....LOL!!! Oh, although my wife was jabbing me to stop bidding on some of the rolls, etc, I stayed after the coins so she could get a nice sterling ring she had her eye on so she left a happy lady too!!!
