What do you grade this semi-key Morgan?

    I'd say market graded at 64+ because of it being a semi-key and the true grade would be a 64.

    62. Some fairly large marks on the face and the strike make me think 92-O before I saw the reverse.

    I'm at 62 as well but I would almost bet it's in a 63 holder.

    61 with the marks...62 with the nice cotton blossoms.

    Curious, what is the average cost to have a coin graded...without a tiered acct...I'm not a dealer.

    NGC will grade it 62, PCGS 64

    NGC and ANACS will be $18.00 economy (pre 1950), usually grading companies have a five coin minimum. Modern, (post 1950), is $15.00. Then there are extras, such as, attributions, researching, photography, etc, etc, etc.

    I agree with all of you. Still learning. Grade is that high even with the hair wear just above the ear and gouge at the cheek ?

    I think the grade was appropriate, due to the bad cheek hit. You may get a 62 out of it, but it could just as easily come back MS 01 or 61.
