Okay, Randy, how many girls do you have in that safe at this point?

Our master suite walk-in closet doubles as my walk-in safe. It is where my coin cabinet resides as well as the aluminum boxes with all the slabbed coins. I do pull out random stuff and look over it at the dining room table from time to time. Just last week I rummaged through the coin cabinet and found stuff I didn't remember I had. That's always a bonus!

New purchases generally spend some time on my nightstand so I can look at them before I turn in. I haven't had one of those in a while but changed that with a GreatCollections win on Sunday evening. That coin should be here this weekend, and I'll post it the newest acquisitions thread before giving it a temporary home on the nightstand.

I’ve heard of skeletons in the closet. Never knew Randy had a bunch of ‘em in his safe! :nailbiting:

I do the nightstand thing, too. They get to be free-range coins and frolic in the sunshine for a couple of days before they get entombed in the dark safe deposit box.

I used to have a spreadsheet with names, short description, and a phone number unless I decided to unalive it. It was twice as long as my graded Morgan slabs, and I have almost 200 of those.:p I deleted it when I got married again later in life  :D.

I've got a spread sheet for my graded slabs in order by date and mint mark, and guestimate of value. Sometimes I'll get them out of my safe and take a stroll down memory lane. It's a lot of work because I have about 10 boxes and need the kitchen table to get the all out. The hoarded bullion is on another spreadsheet and resides in two safe deposit boxes.
