    Doubles? Oh that's easy I pick the better one put it away and smack the other one around with a hammer or maybe toss it in the rock tumbler. That way the one i kept is that much more rare and valuable! {{I'll go hide under a rock now until all the torches and pitchforks disapear}}

    Hahaha, I always save pretty much any coin that is of any value, weather I find them in circulation or purchase them. The way I see it is that I spend my free money on coins, I dont get "in over my head" financially, so I see no reason to sell off my treasures:)

    I keep any doubles of keys/semi-keys and dates I think have longer term potential...sell/trade the rest.

    If it's just modern, clad, circulation coinage I just spend it (extras from rolls of president dollars, ATB quarters, Kennedy half dollars, etc. from the Mint. Some of these I'll save as pocket pieces or will give away/sell to friends and family who might be interested in them.). Junky silver I would probably sell to get more money for more coins, although some of this I'll save anyway if it's in reasonably OK condition (I like having a lot of silver US coins around, but I'm not so much like Scrooge McDuck that I feel I need a huge hoard of them lol especially when they can be sold for money to buy more interesting coins). Anything classic is a keeper usually, even in bad condition, but sometimes I'll let them go for sake of trading or selling to get more money for more coins. Foreign coins of no particular value I just save in my "random junk box" (a box that came from a Disney edition Trivial Pursuit game lol...). Interesting but not particularly valuable US coins go in that box too (wheat cents, low grade buffalo nickels, bicentennial quarters, any half dollars period, anything silver, etc.) Extra currency of no particular value I often give away to other collectors, or trade for some of their extras (coin stores are rarely interested it seems unless it's of reasonably high value). Anything of sentimental value (I received it as a gift, or it's a memento of a significant moment) are permanent keepers no matter how many extras I have of them.

    I don't really care how much any of this will ever be worth because that will be my heirs' problem; I hope to never part with any (well ok, most) of it if I can help it for the rest of my life!
