“Gold is the money of kings, silver is the money of gentlemen, barter is the money of peasants – but debt is the money of slaves.” Quote from Norm Frantz I seem to collect a lot of dust, but its not on the list....
I have some gold and silver, but I am focused on early US copper at the moment. I guess I am somewhere between a gentleman and a peasant.
I have collected gold and have sold most off. I do collect some silver bullion, ASE's , Kookaburra' Maple leaves, I tend to collect the less appreciated series ,nickels, (shields, buffalo's Jefferson) half dimes ,three cent pieces dimes, bust half cents, bust half's , some paper, but mostly variety items. And of course type coins for my type set.
I once collected about every US coin there was.....I had many complete collections from Half Dimes to Peace Dollars and now since I sold everything I'm now focused on collecting guitars and vinyl classic rock albums......
Ancients and modern world silvers. I also dabble in currency. I don't pay much attention to u.s. anymore.
I collect gold, silver coins and tokens. Besides that, I collect other items like porcelain signs, drug memorablia, guitars and anything I think I can flip.
Always great to see Kevin checking in....... I collect what I like, and what I like are commemoratives (modern and classic), silver eagles, proof and mint sets, mint medals (currently going after the 76 mm variety) and US moderns in general. Lately I've been adding a few lenses to my Nikon collection. Now that is one expensive hobby.......
If I like the coin and meets my collecting standards, the coin is at a good price and the dealer is good, I'll buy it.
Mostly copper Canadian Large and Small cents US Large and Small cents US Two Cent pieces CWT Michigan store cards Lincoln medals And anything else that catches my eye...
I started collecting ASEs, then moved to Morgans. I have moved on to building a type set. I still pick up Morgans and ASEs if the price is right and I like the coin. I also put together albums when there is nothing around that meet my requirements, lol.
Hello my friend....I enjoy checking in here from time to time. I have taken on photography myself and just bought a Nikon D5100 last year. You're right though...those lenses are very expensive. I'll keep in touch!!
